Apartment Interior Concept for a Residential Complex in Dubai

Type: interior design

Location: Dubai, UAE

Stage: in process

Client: BI Group

A private apartment in Dubai shaped by soft forms, sand-toned calm, and a subtle dialogue between heritage and contemporary living.

The concept, titled Sand Archive, draws inspiration from an artifact uncovered at the archaeological site of Saruq Al Hadid: a clay vessel preserved beneath desert sand for thousands of years. This reference became the starting point for an interior that connects contemporary life with the deeper cultural memory of the region.

Rather than quoting history literally, the project translates it into atmosphere. Soft organic forms, handcrafted-looking objects, and a quiet material palette create a space where art, craft, and time exist in balance.

The interior is designed to feel light, airy, and calm, while still rich in character. The palette avoids stark whites and very dark tones, allowing the apartment to respond naturally to strong sunlight and maintain a soft, balanced mood throughout the day.

Curved elements, carefully selected artworks, and tactile materials shape an environment that feels relaxed and refined. The result is a home that is contemporary in expression but warm and personal in atmosphere.

Sand-toned hues, wood, soft stone textures, textiles, and warm accents define the material palette. Together they create a timeless background that allows art, furniture, and objects to bring warmth and individuality to the space.
