Project is placed in City of Erbil - capital of Kurdistan, Iraq - is considered as the oldest inhabited city in the history of humankind. Geographically and historically located in the crossroad of the major cultures.
Designed on massive water lagoon idea is based on the concept of the islands – softly created by flowing water. Strong landmark a hotel tower has been made from a series of raised volumes with green terraces in between is also symbolic “gate to the city” for the guest coming from the Erbil International Airport.
Parametric shaped facade made of big stone elements, gives sense of traditional architecture quality that last for ages. The way of using traditional materials is contemporary.
Functional planning of the mall is diverse as much as possible and provides all necessary needs for the contemporary and future customer. The mall is separated into islands that provide different experiences.
The Erbil Mall will welcome its customers with breath-taking architecture and multiple experiences. It’s a building that looks into the future but also is grounded in the city culture and its history.
