Strengthening TBP’s Presence in Iraq: Erbil Invest Expo and New Connections in Baghdad and Erbil

As part of TBP’s continued development and strengthening presence in the Iraqi market, our Founder, John Mark Clancy, recently travelled to Baghdad and Erbil.

In Baghdad, the visit included a series of meetings and site visits in a city undergoing significant redevelopment and renewal. With its rich history and rapidly changing urban environment, Baghdad presents a wide range of opportunities for new architectural and development projects.

The visit continued in Erbil, where TBP attended Real Estate Invest Expo 2026, held from 8 to 11 September at the Erbil International Fairground. The exhibition brings together developers, investors and industry leaders to present real estate projects, investment opportunities, smart city concepts and solutions for sustainable urban development. For TBP, it provided an opportunity to meet key players in the market, exchange perspectives and gain a closer understanding of the region’s development landscape.

Alongside the exhibition, the program included meetings with clients and visits to construction sites. Erbil is experiencing active development, with major projects and new communities taking shape across the city. At the same time, the market is still developing its approach to architecture, from master planning and façades to the creation of distinctive environments and communities.

This creates an opportunity for TBP to contribute its international architectural and design experience while working closely with local partners and understanding the specific needs of the region. The visit was also an important opportunity to establish new relationships and discuss how international expertise can support the next generation of projects in Iraq.
