Samal Park has opened in Astana: a new urban park based on the Big Picture concept

And it is especially rewarding for us to see this moment. When we first began working on the project, its working title was Sfera Park. That was when the Big Picture joined the development of the site concept — from the overall strategy and master plan to the functional program, ecological logic, and scenarios for how the space would be used.

It is particularly exciting to see how the project has moved beyond the concept stage and become a real urban place for walks, meetings, and everyday recreation. More about the project and the idea behind it can be found here.
